Gotta wonder how much heat is transferred sideways - something that heat sinks usually aren't that good at doing.

I have some of their Dominator DDR3-1800 stuff and the set provided a fan kit with 3 small 7000 rpm fans and a special bracket to cool the modules. It works great, but I wonder if these new ones have it? Like those posters said, it sure looks like a lot less surface area for cooling than the ones I've got...

i haven't went corsair for memory since ddr days but their psu's are awesome. their ram is so overpriced and doesn't overclock well and you can get g.skill or crucial for the same or cheaper price. i guess its there popularity.

It's pricey, yes, but I can't agree that it won't OC well. Just my experience has always been good with Corsair. They are also incredibly liberal with return policy, and their claim service is the best I've found on the two occasions that I had to RMA.

Yea, I'd agree with that, they sort of understand that they are selling to a market of people that are very abusive towards hardware and cut alot of slack to overclocking related deaths. Had some PC-3000 DDR back before PC-3200 DDR was available that got killed due to user stupidity and was replaced.
