Cabling arrived yesterday, very easy pass through off the PCI slots. Connected to two Sata ports from the Motherboard and I now have a two Sata to e-Sata connections. Ran a sector by sector and cut 1and 1/2 hours of my back up and verify time using USB connects....":O}

Ah, but that's the good part. The program that I've used just overwrites old files and puts the new ones in there... the backup is fully bootable if required.

Of course, at night backups work fine as well.

Hey, I'm all for the 'if it works for you, that's all you need' strategy. Sounds like your current backup solution is exactly what you're looking for.

Arrow

Yea, SATA is the shat man! I love the small connectors compared to the ribbon styled old IDE drives.
I absolutely could not live without my Acronis True Image backup program.
I LOVE it!!!
Takes me all of 4 minutes to do a backup of my OS partition & that includes Verifying the backup archive upon completion.
