Low Power NAS build

Looking at building a machine as a NAS box, I have an ATX server cube chasis (one of those mecano looking things) that I'd like to use, but I'm leaning towards something very low power quiet and reliable. The intention is to just run a stripped down Linux on it, probably off flash storage, and then run a RAID 5 array off of that using MDADM software raid. There are no high performance demands, just average quality video streaming, ideally over gigabit as it will mainly contain media.

So I'm trying to think, what's the best option for silent, low power (ideally under 100 watts for the machine (but under 30 would be even better)).

I've been considering VIA options, maybe even some sort of embedded system that is suited to this kind of thing, not sure. Anyone have some suggestions?

I've been thinking of doing something similar as I just don't need the quad powered server as much as I thought I would..

Anyway, I will more than likely end up with an Atom 230 based unit.
