BenQ MP512-ST Short-Throw Projector

Quote:
Personally I’m greatly in favour of projectors as a display medium – given a good sized room (which I’m lucky enough to have) you can set the image much larger than any standard HDTV. Which would you prefer, dropping £5,000-£50,000+ on a 60”, 100”... 150” LCD? Or grab a projector for a fraction of the cost.

Looks like a nice projector, but lacks proper HD video support.

I love projectors! One day I'll get one. I have been borrowing one and display it on a large canvas I bought at Michaels for $15.00 and looks great. We watch movies and play Guitar Hero on it. I will eventually be looking for a new projector for under $1000 and I like the specs on this one

Reminds me of my Optoma HD65! Its one of those things! 'Ohh i'd love to have a projector' and my god you're right! You should have one!

The HD65 outputs 720p and the PS3 looks amazing on it. Movies look amazing. 160" screen is fantastic for sports and entertainment. Albeit HD tv would look better too.

We've had it a while now at our apartment, on a white wall!! Its doing a fantastic job!

Bought the Optoma for £460 4months ago. So the BenQ isnt far off.

I am definately looking towards the 1080p Projector market.

Not that it occurred to me, tbh. Yet a projector sounds 3 times smarter than a heavy wide screen mohuncher! Wonder if the price will go up when le public at large figures this out?
