no games, no upgrades

I cant see myself upgrading anything in my system in the foreseeable future, because there are aren't any games that really challenge my system or that I want to play. At my resolution I run crysis high 40+ fps. Everything else is a poorly ported xbox game with dated graphics or just not as demanding. Somewhere down the line I'll get a new video card but only when I can see myself actually needing it. So as for now I almost could care less about the new ati's and what nvidia is cooking up.

Yeah man can understand that. Have you played the intel competition levels for crysis? Some are amazing on par or better than some of the game levels. Been getting low fps in Crysis Airfield level because I was playing in V32. I will post some more pics tonight from V64.

My wallet doesn't have the Cardio to keep up with Video cards anymore... staying with my PS3...even then I stay a year behind release dates to ease the pain of buying new games... So it goes...":O}

All I can say is Mods, Mods, Mods
There may not be a whole bunch of new games but the mod community is growing like crazy. Some of them Increase the quality of the original engine.
My system is 2 years old and needs an upgrade, but I understand your point. The only games I am interested in is Borderlands, Far Cry 2, Fallout 3 and a bunch of mods. My system can play those, but it would be nice to have my system running SLI.

borderlands looks fun and not to demanding. I really want to pick that up of course when the price drops. Same for L4d2.

I am a Mod addict! I have played so many mods for Half-Life 2, Doom 3, Far Cry, FEAR, Oblivion & now Unreal Tournament 3.
There is some real good stuff out there and its totally free!
Some of the engines are now opensource and developers can release free games. So now there is a huge number of games you can play absolutely for free and can just download it, then play against bots or with your friends.

Doom 3: The Dark Mod, Shamblers Castle, Pathways Redux, Lost Facility, Omega Research Facility, Redwill, Event Horizon, Once Upon A Time, Sigma Core, TLab Complex, Urukai, Omicron

Unreal Tournament 3: The Ball, The Haunted, Renegade X, Steam Racers, airborn

Far Cry: Railway, Inferno Trilogy, The Delta Sector

Just to name a few...
Half-Life 1 has the most mods of any game I have seen. There are literally hundreds of maps, mods and total conversions.

Minerva & Get A Life are two of my favorites.
Get A Life is a huge total conversion. It took me at least 10 hours over a month to finish it. Maybe longer.
