Alas, I'd need to put it on a desk and watch it as if it were a monitor. 22" is just too dang small. Heck, 40" may be too small! Good concept, though.

my gf is buying a 32 lcd tv for her room, is there anything i need to know more than common sense about hooking up a spare computer i have to it?

Either the TV needs to have a PC input, or your PC will need an HDMI output.
