Here I've been so very comfortable with how cheap HDD storage has been (seriously, seen the price for 500GB drives lately?) - looks like I might have to un-pocket some coin now.

Edit: Well, unpocket some coin might have been a bit of an understatement. I thought prices had dropped a tad since March, but not much. On average, looking at Newegg. Its 1.77$/ GB.
For SSD. Compared to about...oh, 12c/GB for a HDD.

One here works out at about $1 per GB, after rebate.

Nowhere near as cheap as a HD, but good value if it is something you can use.
