I am using Windows7 which is normally take 9gb now my c drive is taking 12gb usually.

I've heard that linux community came up with better implemented security in it's latest Linux Mint Gold version, it's actually preventing the user to log in, thus posing 0 risk in contamining the computer with malware! Well done to the open source community!

Anyone used an SSD as their only drive for a long time? What's a long time? I dunno, one year? I know that they're much faster than rotating drives but wear and tear concerns me. And I'm somewhat tightfisted, large capacity SSD's cost a lot.

I've got a 60 GiB SSD on my kids computer and it's been working just fine for about 6 months.

With the all the wear leveling algorithms and stuff they've got on the modern SSDs, you'll likely replace the hardware for obsolescence before it wears out.
