Wow, that is going to be a FAST computer... to bad you can't run Photoshop, UDK, 3DMAX, Sketchup, AutoCAD, Illustrator, InDesign, InCopy, etc etc etc

I wonder if they are planning to stick with their own custom distro?

They might, but I would rather build a computer with an even-better-upgradable-video-card

The advantage is that my what, 5 year old PS3? still plays brand new games as nicely as my current Video card. and gives me a Blue ray player and music box to boot (sorry about the pun).

My Video card cost me as much as my PS3.

My video card didn't and I can get a Blue-Ray drive for $50

I'm glad the PS2 could still play PS1 games but I've heard the PS3 could not...
My PC is compatible with all old and new games & programs.
Can't beat that!

My real problem in PC games is my wrist. can't handle the keyboard and mouse, in the past it's been a huge pain the get PC controllers to work with most games...but it's been years since I've tried and that was in windows...

I remember you have said that in the past.
I'll have to try a few of my controllers in Mint and see if it works.
I have a sudo-playstation controller and a few flight-joy-sticks
with computers... there is always a way!

Anyone see anything as far as the games for PS4? Backward compatibility?

probably because they don't want to add the software to allow you burning capabilities.
Does the PS3 have USB ports so you can backup your save games to a flash drive?

It has USB ports for controllers and thumb drives. I don't actually know if you can back up games with USB...never tried.":O}

that would be cool because playing 100+ hours in Oblivion and getting a corrupt save game would be devastating
