I received some 3rd party Samsung PC2700, should I send it back?

I think it's made by powmem (it has a sticker with a star and that says DDR 333, 256 MB). It has 8 chips on each side and the chips themselves says:
Samsung 217
K4H280838D-TCB3
Will this ram reach 185-200MHz with a burn-in and 2.7-3.0V VDimm, or should I just send it back and try to get the genuine single-sided sticks?
I haven't tested it, because I haven't got a DDR motherboard yet. I'm gonna get an Epox 8k3a.

Welcome to AOA's Forums, Roger78! If you torture test this RAM to see if it flies right, it's no longer under warranty. If you feel confident that this place that you bought the DIMM's from is good outfit, I would email or telephone them with the fact that you ordered(and paid for) "Samsung Original" RAM. Which has "SEC" printed(or used to, anyway) on the chips, not "Samsung." Any honest etailer will be glad to straighten out this problem.

Unfortunately, honest etailer's are rare. If you don't trust the people that accidently(or not) sent you Samsung chips on thirds, it might be better to hold on to the DIMM's. Sometimes, the third party PCB board is just as good as Samsung's own--and possibly better. BUT, this doesn't change the fact that you paid for "SEC," not "Samsung."
