Not really.. the 80 pin adapters cost too much.

You can try...

the 80-pin drives go dirt cheap.

search for "raid cage" on ebay. Most of those things take 80-pin drives.

There's a three channel 6 drive backplane there too. You could use it with one channel, but you will need three connectors of your cable to hook it up. It looks like standard 5¼" bay spacing, but you may have to modify your case. Good with a dremmel?
