Make it sing! ":O}

Samuknow 16th February, 2007 09:19 PM

You get all this and I am just happy with my X2 3800 and Lanparty board...

nice rig. Make it beg for mercy. and then make it fold x2

aghastpumpkin 16th February, 2007 09:41 PM

I would have been happy with just my Venice 3000. But a new PC....it was needed. :p
And I will definately reconsider folding. A dual core means it shouldn't slow me down.

danrok 16th February, 2007 10:14 PM

F@H shouldn't slow things down using any core, single or dual.

Amen my brother. can I get an Amen...

OOOOO 150K

aghastpumpkin 17th February, 2007 12:13 AM

When I've run it on my PC before, my PC came to a complete halt. I guess there could have been other reasons. But my PC was a LOT slower.

Pitch 17th February, 2007 12:47 AM

Maybe you set the CPU priority on the FAH client wrong. =/

Favu 17th February, 2007 01:20 AM

Yeah I'd say setting it to 110% is wrong. Kidding. I had some issues with the graphical client before - it would only run lower than 80% CPU time without bringing the system to it's knees.

Luckily it wasn't my system and I use the service instead :)

Strongwolf 17th February, 2007 01:45 AM

Lovely system, I'm sure it would fold very nice.

BTW:nice haircut Pitch.

cloasters 17th February, 2007 01:55 AM

I imagine you wish that you bought two of the Geil 1 Gb DDR2 sticks. Crikey, that orange stuff from Geil is multi-espensivo. Sounds like a very nice box you're a-buildin!'

Ah, we're pretty sure Pitch lied about the hair cut, we will know more once we've had time to step off and measure his nose again... check back later...

(you guys are sure this IS a nose right?}

Strongwolf 17th February, 2007 11:10 PM

New kit

Sorry, I didn't notice tha nose:rolleyes:

Daniel ~ 17th February, 2007 11:40 PM

The hair cut is distracting... if it was a haircut...

I've bought 2x 512mb sticks. It cost me £70 ($135), which is actually surprisingly cheap....
On other sites, the Cas4 stuff was more like £90-100 ($175-190).

aghastpumpkin 20th February, 2007 03:51 PM

I have everything. As I have probably lost my Samsung Camera review, as a special treat for you guys I am taking this chance to write up a dummies AOA guide, including pictures, on how to build a PC.
I am also writing a review of my case.
I am very nervous having never built an Intel system before so wish me the best of luck.

Samuknow 20th February, 2007 06:34 PM

Best of luck...Take your time and check it twice. Look forward to the reviews....

aghastpumpkin 20th February, 2007 07:05 PM

It works ab-fab. Formatting/installing windows right now.

tiamat63 20th February, 2007 07:29 PM

Watch that HDD...

I have notoriously bad experiences with Hitachi and the "deathstars".

Nice rig though boss

aghastpumpkin 20th February, 2007 08:36 PM

Hitachis are fine IMHO. The T7k250, Raptors aside, is the fastest Sata 2 HDD available. And I have to say, it's going like the clappers. :)

What should I run as a sort of burn-in test?
