That's a 120 gig!! Man, that's one of the best deals ever, sat for twenty mins trying to figure out how to use one or even two... but my plans are laid...passing this up HURTS!

robbie 6th September, 2012 03:59 AM

I broke down and got one. Need to reinstall the OS anyways, I'm going Raid. I'm tired of the slowest thing on this box is the HD's and the interface. Time for more POWAH!!!!

Daniel ~ 6th September, 2012 07:03 PM

I'm so glad one of us could jump on this! These SSD's...they will blow your mind! Can't wait to see what they look like raided!

Best deal of the last 5 years and I just had to let it go...I'll remember this a disproportionately long time ! LOL

Enjoy Robbie your Raiding for two now...Raiding for two, get it! ":O}

danrok 6th September, 2012 07:07 PM

That's as cheap as chips!

Daniel ~ 6th September, 2012 08:05 PM

a Heart break if you missed it or couldn't use it! ":O}

I checked today and the price moved over too $74 (that's $5 cheaper than I paid) I did pay $79 with a $20 rebate. Just an FYI.

And just to clarify, I won't be raiding the ssd, just the two 160's I have.

booman 7th September, 2012 07:41 PM

Holy Moses! That is a pretty good deal... I know in 5 years we'll be laughing at this thread, but I've been waiting and waiting for the prices to drop.

Daniel ~ 7th September, 2012 09:12 PM

In 5 years we will be asking if anyone wants our old to small to use SSD 90 to 120 gig drives...hate to see them wasted....

booman 7th September, 2012 09:15 PM

dude in 10 years we'll be using our brain as hard drives!
just Thunderbolt 8.5 right into the port on the back of your head.

Daniel ~ 7th September, 2012 09:28 PM

Valve saw this coming...they just can't decide upon which plumbing out let they like!

robbie 11th September, 2012 04:33 AM

My drive came in today. Now it's time to hook it up and give it a spin!!! :) Well... there is nothing inside to spin... errr well... you get the point!! :)

booman 11th September, 2012 05:39 PM

Thats funny... how long have you been waiting to say that?

robbie 11th September, 2012 10:00 PM

lol. Turns out my system is only SataII, so I'm not getting 6 gig on it. :( but it's still very fast. I'm just about back to being the first one in the game on BF3 when we load a new map. :)

booman 11th September, 2012 10:21 PM

Cool, I didn't know SATAII had limitations with Solid State hard drives

robbie 12th September, 2012 04:58 AM

WATCH OUT ROBBIE!

This is how I ended up with a new Motherboard (to get Sata III!) Unfortunately I then needed a new CPU! Then to add to my mounting horror it required new RAM!

Run Robbie just run!! But don't do what I tried to and hide in a Computer hardware store...it's the first place they look for you!!

booman 12th September, 2012 06:09 PM

thats why I am waiting! I want Solid State more than anything, but until I have the proper hardware and the prices go down (more...) I'm going to wait and settle for my old spinnin drives

Daniel ~ 12th September, 2012 06:46 PM

The world is coming to meet you Boo! Prices are falling like crazy. The mother boards remain expensive But RAM, CPUs and SSDs are all levelling down, down, down.

Your time is coming to meet you! ":O}

booman 12th September, 2012 06:55 PM

soon enough. I'm sure they will work fine on my supercomputer, but the prices won't.
I would love to install Mint on a Solid State drive and dual boot with Win 7 on my spinner
