The 9700 pro is the fastest vid card available now. Beats the 750XP (TI 4600) especially in high resolutions and when anti-aliasing, anistropheric filtering, etc., is turned on.......

If you have the cash, get the ATI 9700 pro

I expect the NV30 when first realeased to have a price tag of around 400US dollars........

NV30 release date is expected to be around November-December 2002 in the US. Dont have the slightest idea when in the UK.

DONT get a crucial videocard. I have read nothing but bad things about them.
If I were you I would just get a build BY ati card. Otherwise when/if it comes to RMA time, you might be out of luck with another company.

8x doesn't matter. it won't make any difference at all.

Hmm not mucho responso

Does the lack of response mean there is little out on 9700 yet?

I have read a review of the gigabyte and they say the fan runs @ 61dB !!!! - bit extreme

What about the hightech (or is it highpoint) or sapphire boards any1 seen a review?

If your into overclocking your card the curcial was rated best for doing this. With a major overclocking capabilities it was able to get over 20,000 points on 3dmarkse. You can read about it here:
