Problem With ATI Radeon 9000 XP Driver
Ok i got an ATI Radeon 9000 to replace my GF4 mx460 but wen i install the drivers and reboot it just rejects it and doesnt open Windows? I downloaded a new driver of ATI website but still the same? is it my Epox 8k3a+ that dont like the card or Win XP or cards broken? which could it be? or could there be another problem?

normally when you switch from an nvidia to an Ati you want to reformat/reinstall windows, their drivers are completely different

And I thought that simply removing the Nvidia driver, then installing an ATi driver would do the trick. Now I know better, I think.

i guess i do to! but i hope this will help my graphical lag out in UT2003 that my GF4 mx460 had!! i mean even my GF2 GTS did better!

ok i have now set BIOS to run my card and windows boots up and all but windows crashes soon after? i updated my motherboard and so on! this is still going on!! wot do i do?

hmmmm, I take it you have tried failsafe defaults in your bios??, via 4 in 1s?? I'm pulling at straws here.

I had no problems when going from my radeon 64 VIVO to a GF2Ultra(way back). All i did was remove old drivers and install new drivers.

turns out to be motherboard problem?? im running it on my MSI Ultra2 with no problems at all? and withoutremoving old GF2 Drivers!
