Klh?

I'm setting my gf up with a CHEAP sound setup for her new house, and was looking for a cheap receiver/speaker setup and noticed KLH, and was wondering if the brand is any good at all. She won't be doing any real 5.1 surround, since it's main purpose is for music.

I've never dealt with low end receivers so i don't know what's "good". I've got a fairly high end Onkyo 6.1 at home, but i don't think i'll give that away. Then i'll probably pair her setup with a pair of cheap 3way speakers. Heck, i could just go flat out stereo 2 chanel. Or used. Any ideas would be welcome. she's just tired of thos POS boom boxes. TIA

As long as they aren't blown, used speakers can be a real bargain, beyond that I can't really be constructive.

Sorry
I'm not an audiofile. I have to listen to em to tell you what I think. I don't know much about speakers I just know what I like when I hear it. Crisp clear trebils are more important than bass to me. I have never heard of Klh befor but that doesn't mean they aren't anygood.

Just wanted you to know that I wasn't ignoring you. Just that I am not knowledgeible.

Thanks for the replies Staz and Daniel. I'm not a super audiophile either, but either way my only experience is with stuff like pioneer, onkyo, denon and the like so i have no clue about the cheaper stuff. KLH were the cheapest recievers i saw, but i have yet to actually listen to one yet. unfortunatly, it's hard to tell how good a reciever sounds at a store and whatnot.Specially' with out the type of speakers i want hooked up to then. Most local stores don't match cheaper recievers with speakers. Oh well i'll keep my eyes open.
