Try setting your memory timming more aggresive. (IE rather than having it on normal set it to fast or ULTRA)

This should help. Also under your AGP settings (BIOS) make sure you turn everything. Like fast writes (and such)

Hope this helps

Welcome to AOA Forums!

Have you downloaded the LATEST drivers for your video card and motherboard? The score does indeed seem low. Try Robbies suggestion too.

Oh , yeah , in the first step when i received my main and chip + vid card . I had formated my Hdd , install Windown XP only , now service pack .

Install Catalyst 3.0 , and nvidia nforce driver in the driver disk of Epox 8Rda+ main board , then i installed 3dmark Se , then Bench !!!

And in the Catalyst options , all slider has been moved to Performance , of course No AA or AF , bench with 1024*768*32 bit , direct 8.1 , and CPU and R9700 pro is bench at stock speed , then the result make me dissapointed MUCH ....

Am i wrong something , ah , and some thing is very strange , in my BIOS , some time i changed multiplier , it was ok , but some time it didnt work , and the system reset to defaul , i think , and my chip was 1.800+ ??? , when this happen , i must go to bios and change multiplier 13x to 15x to make my CPU to 2.4+ stock speed , seem to be the frequency jumper on my mobo doesnt work , the manual of mobo said that it defaut is 133... but i why does my CPU go to 1.8+ ???

After all , plz help me to increase my 3dmark , its TOO LOW , and i dont know why , cause i'm noob :-( , and can some one tell me how to set optimal my Bios setting ?

Thanks alots !!!

Have you tried downloading the latest driver for your video card from the web? Try www.aoafiles.com

What are your RAM timings set to in BIOS?

I know nothing about radeon cards so cant help you with that.

Your CPU has gone to 1800 because of the settings in the bios. Normally the 1800 runs at 1532MHz with default settings of 133FSB and a multiplier of 11.5. Could you check that you have the FSB set at 133 in the bios and set the multiplier at 15. Remember to accept the changes when you press F10. It may be that you have the FSB at 100 with a multiplier of 15 which will give you 1500MHz, ~XP1800 roughly.

For your memory timings choose expert, then change the settings to 5,3,3,2 initially. You will probably be able to reduce them later as that memory should be able to handle it.

Hope that helps

Do you have the VIA chipset? Is it the KT400?? If you have the KT400 chipset you'll need to get the "special" Hyperion drivers version 4.45. (http://www.viaarena.com/?PageID=211) only if you have the KT400 chipset. When I installed them I noticed a jump in my 3D Mark Score.

If you don't have that chipset try downloading your mobo chipsets latest drivers and THEN benchmark.

Hope this helps.

Thats a nice score! Now just keep clocking!

You really should try to tweak your RAM timings. Get a hold of MemTest (Head over to www.aoafiles.com and get it), try out some more aggressive timings, and run Memtest to see if the ram can do it. Try 2--2-2-5. If thats a no go, try 2.5--2-2-5

Overclocking your video card will get you some extra points too...

I was going to recommend that you use the 2.5 drivers for your video card. I just helped a fellow member build a new system with an Epox board and a 9700 Pro and he got a pretty low score as well for his system.

So we rolled the driver back and now he's braking 12000 from 9000. I'm sure there's something up with the new driver, I'm not not sure what it is but I'm sure it will be fixed soon.
Glad to see you found it.

That score lookes fine to me. With the machine I have I could not brake 12000, without overclocking, just tweaking, so yesterday Robby came to my house and we worked on a format and stuff, and I say that Robby and I we broke the 12000 barrior, thanx Rob. OH and I think we have to work on the Bios Rob........I think?

Cool,+ my problems with the sound are over. I had to use the older drivers before the ones that are in the SB website.
