Omega Drivers and 9700PRO

With the newest Omega drivers, the ones based on the cat 3.5, what exactly does the hacked driver option do to a 9700 pro? What are theoretical and/or real improvements over using the non hacked driver?

The driver hack only benefits the 9500 non pro. Unless it hacks the 9700Pro into the 9800 non pro.

The readme says it does the 9700 -> 9800 hack, but I don't know what this means. Is it only for a 9700 NP or does it work for a 9700 PRO as well? What exactly does the hack do?

gives you a higher 3dmark 2003 score by using some of the 9800 driver optimistations.

This can drop performance in other things though....

Really, I could care less about 3d mark score. I will swictch back to non-hacked omega. What do you mean by drop performance in other things? Do you think it is worth it to use the hacked driver?
