radeon 9000 and directx

I just kicked my XP 1800+ up a notch and now some of my games won't work. Halo whines about not being able to initialize direct 3d and UT2003 says "Error setting display mode: CheckDepthStencilMatch failed. (D3D_OK). Please delete your UT2003.ini file." I've deleted the ini file but that doesn't help. I have reinstalled Halo and DirectX but that doesn't do anything. Other games still work like Rise of Nations which I installed before the overclock. Does anyone have any ideas?

You may have to back that overclock down just a tad more. Sounds like file corruption. If not fixed now, you might lose your OS.

Immediately after I posted I decided to reinstall the video drivers on a hunch and that fixed it. Everything is cool now but thanks robbie.
