Agp/pci

HI ALL!!!
i was wondering why ATI has thier top cards the x800 serise with agp support but the mid and bottom line the x600 and x300 are pci only? i would buy a x600 if i could get it in agp. it wouldnt seem that they would loose money on it, cuase wouldnt they use the same pcb and just use a different core?

x600 =9600xt...pretty much.

the push on pci-e is because this is becoming the new standard...most newer intel boards are pci-e....from a marketing perspectrive, if you can get the average user using it, eventually you can force it on the market.
right now, i can get a pci-e Nvidia geforce4 5950 ultra for about $75 cheaper than the agp version...

you can't take a pci-e card and just plug it in...you would need a new motherboard as well.
