really depends on game, however it does allow the gpu to use the full 256mb on cards equipped so. Also solves some memory errors in certain games, like the CS:S beta.

wroks fine for me.. i'll snap a screenie...but i'm on a r360 too.
that looks like memory texture corruption, if you ask me. try playing with agp aperature.
Thankfully it's just a driver issue, and not something more serious!
Newer drivers are not going to give better overclocking performance as well, as they will push a card harder than before, which , of course, can affect your clocks. I believe it's the full 3Dc implementation in the driver than gives your card such a boost.

420 only. well, the newer chips may have it as well, and they are just starting to trickle in. 3Dc is ATI's comeback for Nvidia implementing PS 3.0 in the 6800.

The R500 should ( and i stress SHOULD) feature PS 3.0...but there has been no official anniuncement in regards to that.

i have found CS:S to be my new vid card overclocking tool...no other game/program will get my card to generate artifacts so quickly.

yep. the darker areas are the best for texture corruption. I can 3dmark fine @ 440/365, but CS:S only gets 425/347. That's a big hit in performance. BIG.
