9800xt

I having problems with my graphics card I think because I have the squares that flicker all over my screen playing games. Like Far Cry, Painkiller,Doom3 etc,
I have the latest ATI driver already installed and I have already ran the DirectX testing four times and the tests pass every time.

My specs:
2.5 GHZ Intel Pentium 4
1G of Ram
Radeon 9800XT 256
DirectX 9.0
2 hard drives (Maxtor) (60GB) (250GB SATA)
Micro Star Motherboard MS-6577
15in CRT monitor (Refresh Rate) 85HZ at 1024 x 768 x 32

like a checkerboard effect? that sounds very similar to what happens to 9800se cards when you unlock the 4 pipelines and they are faulty so if thats the case it sounds like a hardware fault
