Ocing Ideas for Apollo 5700 le 128mb?

Just had our 3rd child. On a tight budget, so i upgraded from a 9000 pro 64 mb card to a 5700 le 128 mb. Any ideas on overclocking this apollo 5700 le 128mb card? I know it is not the best card, but i have to do with what i got.
Got it dirt cheap. Not that much info out there.

You should try Powerstrip or Rivatuner.

Overclocking GFX cards is dead easy. Just don't go to crazy.

Welcome to AOA by the way, and congratulations on a 3rd child.

yeh same here congrats dude

The card you have id say will OC about 40mhz more on the gpu and then DAC Ram about the same. as soon as you get artifacts (Graphics in white or unprocessed) i would back of with the OClocking. I would also recommend but a larger heatsink on the GPU if you can to transfer more heat away when OC and the same with the RAM

Thumbs up XpertVision 5700V

These cards are really dead cheap, but their overclocking features make them good value for money. They will run DirectX 7 & 8 games without a hitch, but you will need to lower detail levels when running top end DirectX9 games.

I overclock my XpertVision 5700V 256Mb RAM to 350Mhz core, and 445Mhz RAM. This is DDR ram, so I guess it cannot overclock any further (400/458, but artefacts started showing). I added RAM heatsinks, but otherwise, the GPU heatsink and fan are doing a good job.

The motherboard is a bit old, so the video card is limited by the 4X AGP. I wonder if anyone knows of an optimal core to memory ratio. I experienced some FPS lag in the latest RTS games, but I blame that on the PC133 RAM.

I got aquamark and will carry out some benchmarking. Know any place where I can run comparisons?

I clocked my 5700LE to 350 core and 450 mem, and got about 20fps more out of it on CS:S to 45 and 21,000 ish on aquarmark 03.

Unfortunately, the card started to die on me so I returned it, not sure if it was a fault with the card or my OC, but it lasted quite a while.

But the memory on the 5700LE is supposed to be cheap, so you wont get much out of it.

Sold that puppy awhile ago for a 9600xt. Now have see sig. I think I had the core at 470 and the memory at 480. Ran stable. Not a bad card as long as AA and AF is not being used.
