Just a Audigy2 ZS with better noise ratio, that's all I see different.

It's good to see that it still can't encode Dolby Digital. *sigh*

The only real difference between the Audigy2ZS series and the Audigy 4 is that the Audigy4 can sample 6 channels rather than 2 channels.

From memory, the Audigy2ZS could record a stereo pair (two channels), whereas the Audigy4 appears to be able record three stereo pairs (six channels) at the same time.

IE, it appears to be basically the same ol' card with different converters on it.

Hmm, I understand. But recording is not what I use my sound card for, so A2 is enough for me.

Audigy 4 is an interim product which as said has a better dac's and adc's on it and some new software. The next jump is a pci-e card but that isnt ready yet and the audigy 2 is getting on abit now (2 years or so now for the orig audigy 2 / platinum) sales were probably flagging so it was revamp same ol' product time with newer kit
