Audigy 2 ZS

I found an AUdigy 2 ZS lying around as you do, and thought Id give a whirl in my setup, managed to get the soudn to work kind of but when I tried to update the drivers to the latest ones it says no audigy hardware or something like that installed any ideas?

Have you run the creative driver and bumph installers, as i believe the updates on creative site require the stuff to allready be installed, it is anoying to try and find the install cd amoungst mountains of other junk cd's.
Was this using auto detect off their site or manual.

Btw this is my 500th post time, that and 50k fold points this is a good day to .... live !

but it does the same with the installation disk LOL??? maybe another reformat

yep tried all them, just wondering if a fresh reinstall is needed again! only dont want to loose my hl2 saves

*shrugs* try killing all creaf software / drivers on your machine, then boot it up in a different slot and hope it installs as an unknown device, as strangly thats all the creaf drivers support !

grrr this thing is driving me mad, using th onboard was causing loads of stutters etc in hl 2, just done another xp install and Im getting the same problems again using the install disk, maybe its a xp sp2 problem or maybe a clash with nf3
