6800le overclock/unlock probs

Hi guys,
I'm having some problems unlocking and overclocking my new card.
The card itself is fine, installed the card, removed old drivers with driver cleaner pro and installed the Xtreme-G 77.76 drivers.
Ran 3d mark 03 and the graphics are a great great great great improvment.

My problem is this:
#1
I read through monkeyman's FAQ on unlocking and overclocking the 6800.
So i thought i would try and unlock the pipelines and shaders 1st.
I installed rivatuner 2.0, but on the main rivatuner page, under target adapter it says: 128 bit AGP NV4 (2) with 32MB SDR memory. And below that in the driver settings bit it says: detonator XP detected. both totally different from the pics supplied by MM. Then when i click on low level system setting i get another totally different screen about overclocking and there is no sign of the NVSTRAP tab that should be there.
anyone know wots wrong? did i download the wrong version of riva?

#2
then i thought id try overclocking.
Entered the display setting/advanced and then click the tab for my card, but in the options on the side there is no clock frequency settings.

so um stumped?

Anyone have any ideas???

here are the two pics of rivatuner and the nvidia settings

I dont think you have the right version of rivatuner.

Is it release candidate 15.7?

Ive just read through my 1st post and it didnt make much sence(had afew glasses of wine b4 i typed it out.) Anyway, my rivatuner prob was sorted.
but um still not seeing the tab for overclocking the card in the nvidia menu.
i'll try uninstalling the 77.76 XG drivers and install the drivers that came with the card and see what happens

the xg drivers have coolbits built into them, should be a menu for "clock frequencies"

ok, ive managed to unlock ALL pipelines and shaders (16x1,6vp) with no artifacts.

ran 3d mark 03 and scored:8766.

um a very happy person now , thanx dsio and lionfish for the help and monkeyman for the excellent faq.

I'll try a little overclock now and see what comes of that.

What was your score with a stock 6800LE. No unlocked pipes.

I take back wot i said earlier (getting 16x1 6vp) ive found some artifacts!
but only on 1 of the shaders i can still run with 16 pipelines no probs.

So now its 16x1 5vp. which i can live with

done some benchies too.

here is the card at stock:8pipes and 4shaders 300/700

Those leadtek 6800LEs really are bloody magic. If I were buying another 6 series, I would have no problem with getting a Leadtek LE, or recommending it to others.

You definately have the pick of the bunch when it comes to 6 series cards.

Of course, you still coudn't beat my GT, but then, who can? (who with a 6 series that is, not who with a 7 series dave)

and finally (for the time being) 16pipes and 5shaders with abit of an over clock to 325/725.

sorry about posting separateley, but um not sure how to add multiple pics to a thread.

Would i get better proformance from overclocking the memory or the core higher?

Pushing your core and memory will definately improve things. Expect 20% minimum. If you are lucky, up to 40% is possible. Thats on top of the performance gains you already have from unlocking pipes.

Wtg!

The Leadtek 6800LE's are brilliant cards for the price. Magic value.

Bet you can push that clock much further than that. What i suggest you do is run the benchmarks over n over agen to burn the card in. Then push the clock a bit further. My card just keeps getting higher n higher clocks. I could hardly push 780mhz on the memory when i first got the card now im getting well over 860mhz! Guess these cards get better with age? :P
