| Nvidia Driver Problems? Now i think it's my driver but I've used 2 different drivers in this time? Here's the problem: It's happened 3 times now in around 8 months it's never happened while in use only after I turn it off. The first time my driver was gone nowhere to be found and I had to reinstall of coarse. The second time when I turned it on screen res had been dropped back to 800 x 600 and a default monitor was being used my Phillips monitor driver was gone but at lest the nvidia driver was still there (this is what happened last night). Does anybody know what is going on?

| Now I'm not the only one with this problem. Someone else with an Intel system told me now that he has had the same trouble of turning on his PC and the Nvidia drivers are gone I mean ''gone'' you need to download them again. Only thing similar between systems is 6600GT, anybody else having this problem. Only been happening since drivers 80.XX.

| Nope, never happened to me, not seen in this forum. I'd look else where for the problem, as to where, I'm clueless.

| wait so have you tried to reinstall them again, mine did that but I unistalled and reinsalled them and they worked.

| Yes, I'm always updating them just put that latest Extreme G in last night so I'll wait and see if it happens again. Could there be some problem or conflict and Windows XP is removing the driver kind of like going into safe mode? Is that possible?

| doubt it check for spyware that sounds like something reg-fix would be doing.

| Yes I use Driver Cleaner Professional Edition. I say that my Nvidia drivers are that gone that I am thinking that Driver Cleaner has started automaticaly and done it for me when i don't want it to but I know that this isn't happening.

| My best guess would be that you left then in a different folder than you remember. Honestly I can't recall of hearing of any driver deleting itself. But I may be the only one who does things like that...":O}
