hehe, that was quite simple, suprisingly... Well anyways at stock, im using Gecube 9600XT Bios, clocked at 400/200 Stock. With No Fan i get 450/235 without any artifacts on ATITool.... Now i got to try with Fan. (Using Connect3D 9550 256mb)

Basically i just screwed it on,with the standard screws from an AMD CPU FAN, with the AMD fan... I need a picture, no camera!

Gonna see the difference with the fan anyhow!

I would be inclined to leave your current BIOS. The problem is finding a compatible BIOS that will actually improve anything for a 256MB card.

Drivers + overclocking should give you about all you could get out of the card really.

Some CPU overclocking couldn't hurt.

Its actually a quite good sink, because ot features a propper set of RAM sinks and PWM sinks. This isn't as important for BGA memory on newer cards, but your 9600's TSOP RAM could really use it. Copper, with well spaced fins to minimise dust bunnies. Not bad at all.

This seams to be a fairly consistant result with this driver (Cat 6.2) with out X1900XT owners, Pitch and Bradmax57, both having some overclocking increases as well.

What's the performance like?

After copying the files to the floppy, make sure your boot priorities are set to boot from floppy,( if they arn't already)

flashrom -s 0 oldbios.bin -- to backup the original.
flashrom -p 0 newbios.bin - to flash.

Do not forgot to back up the oringinal, in case things go tits up.

But I agree with dsio, what are you hoping to gain by flashing it?

I've flashed it with a non-pro 9600 bios. And I pushed the RAM's and the GPU a bit more..Now 420GPU 222RAM.But I think that will stop pushing this card because I overclocked it too much..(in my opinion).
