By the way, do I HAVE to do this on a fresh format of XP?
Or can I just kill all un-needed processes and programs?

don't bother. I'm concerned only with what the average user would get...and the avg user isn't gonna kill processes to play a game.

yes, in system settings. 2gb ram, same cpu, same video..NF4-based boards...i'll be using either asus A8n sli, or gigabyte k8n sli. while not exact, it's close enough.

Getting ready to run 3Dmark 03, and 05.

Couple quick questions.

one) Do I need to get 06 as well???

two) Do you need links to my scores, or screenshots alright??

just the numbers are good. if you wanted to try FRAPS and get some avg FPS for games, it would be much appreciated as well!

06 would be good too.

I'll see how big 06 is...I'll start 03 and 05 now.
I'm just going to do the Visual stress test for both HL2 and FEAR....

All 3Dmarks will be run @ 1024x768....no AA or AF

FEAR will be run 1280@1024 NO AA or AF or softshadows for that matter
HL2 will be run 1280x1024 no AA or AF....

Max Quality for both games: Post back in about 25 minutes:

Pitch,
same tests, stock speeds, same timings. Can add on as a show of boost by dualcore.

can you post an A64tweaker shot, seperah? alpha timings may affect overall score, of course.

with soft shadows?

I have yet to run the benches on my rigs yet.

I need the a64 tweaker shot form seperah to mimic his alpha timings.
