I've now as of today used the 7900, and it supports AA and HDR, or do you mean at the same time?

Yes, which it doesn't.

I've owned a 7800GTX, X1800XT 512 and X1900XT.

AA + HRD makes more of a difference than you think.

your right about the differance but not that many games use HDR yet for me to consider it a problem, I'm sure/hope nvidia shares the same view. It would have bean a bit like introducing SLI back with the GF4 series nothing would support it. On the side the day nvidia supports both almost everygame will optimize for it.

SLI has been around since before the GF4.

A lot of people plan to upgrade thier 7800/7900 with Sli. Will that fix the problem of no AA with HDR when HDR may well be more implemented?

SLI being around proves my point it's only recently become used. Future proof yes but when your able to be turing HDR and AA on you have to have one of the best cards of the time anyway.

It isn't anything new. Just another speed bump.

The 7600GT (which still hasnt arrived yet) is an interesting budget option, as is the 7900GT, but only if you currently have a Geforce FX / 9800 and want to upgrade on a budget.

I suggest you actually compare them before making a decision. Try to think back to the 6600GT Vs 6800LE.

Oh...and get the second card...and a new psu. You won't regret it.

The mastercards are clocking quite well, and do not seem to be driver-limited for overclocking as much as the slaves. LoL. Slaves to the Catalyst, and the Master is the Key that unlocks the pathway to unforgettable gaming...even with games that suck.

I get a dramatic slowdown. Is a Geforce 6200 or a ATI 9550 doing to work alot better? I would like a Geforce XFX6600 GT with DDR3 memory,but It's too expensive.I live in South-Africa 3rd world coutry you know.
