84.12 Nvidia Beta Driver

The new Nvidia beta driver, the 84.12, is an extremely nice set indeed. Performance is up, image quality is top notch, DVD/Video quality seams to be sharper as well.

Call of Duty 2 and Battlefield 2 work very well with this set without the "random slowdown" effect. Having looked around, these have been getting rave reviews, with no complaints all around the place.

My 3DMark05 and 06 have both gone up on my 6800GT, and CS:S stress test has gone up by 4 fps for me.

Highly Recommended Driver Set.

I don't think the AGP 6800GS is supported. Use rivatuner top change your PCI-ID to 6800 Ultra or GT and it will be fine, and make no difference.

They arn't dropping support, it just isn't included by mistake. The 6800GS AGP is only a few months old. Sometimes they do leave things out by mistake.

More and more now you are getting really visible improvements in the latest driver releases, I have recently moved on to the 83.90 Tweaks 'R' Us drivers and they are the only driver so far that has shown the stability and soft, natural visuals of the 77.76 TRU drivers whilst improving on performance at the same time.

If the TRU team continue to mod future driver sets especially ones that could give dual-core cpu's more of an advantage and improve on visuals even further then I think very soon another "must have" driver set will be upon us.

Ill give these beta drivers a go and get back to you.

I have been using the TRU series for a while....

I have not seen much of an improvement in performance...maybe a few FPS. The visual quality is noticible however....When I get my card back from Leadtek I will check out this new set from NV

At this point, I really consider quality the most important thing. There is no game in existance that will run slowly on my computer. In fact, a 6600GT is about all you need to play any game at high quality.

Its all about getting the most image quality without having to sacrifice quality. The TRU tweaks give better improvements in texture quality than are provided by AF settings. Combined, it is even better, sharper, and more realistic.

Drivers are all about getting freebies. Before overclocking, tweaking, and setting optimisation, a good driver set can give you something for nothing, which is essentially what we, as overclockers are all about.
