In what way did I say what you said?

I don't quite see it.

I said that over a few post, HDR is not the end of the world yet, The 7900GTX is slightly better but costs more, the ATI is better for the money.

"The motherboard installation section essentially said "refer to motherboard manual for installation instructions". My motherboard manual of course said "refer to case manual for further installation instructions"."

I didn't quite see that. Probably most others didn't either.

IMHO, at this point a top end 3D card is a bad idea. There is nothing that the new 7900GTX can do, that my 6800GT from two years ago can't do. That's why I still havn't upgraded, and won't do so until the next generation.

I just got the impression, from your thread about the X1900XT among other things that you had blacklisted the card from the offset rather than comparing them in a fair way.

Personally, I'm only loyal to a brand for as long as they are competitive. The reason I have tended to stick with Nvidia, is that I know Nvidia cards extremely well. As a result, I can tune, overclock, and driver match any Nvidia card to get the absolute peak performance out of it.

If I had both cards, I could get more out of the 7900GTX, simply because I am more familiar with them. Similarly, if Dave had both, he would pull far more performance out of the X1900XT, because he knows ATI cards and drivers so well.
