I seem to have spoke too soon...I tried Doom 3 first off and basically got to watch what appeared to be a slide show...that was fun...Tried HL2 and didn't see anything better at all...

So went back to my 84.20 Tweaks r us drivers and OC'd my card back and Doom 3 is 45 fps @ 1600x1200 again.

I tried to set up the 91.28 drivers the same as I had before but still had great choppiness...don't know but I will stick with what I have for now....sorry

I didn't try Doom 3 to be honest...

Somehow part of the backlight on my LCD has died, and games are a little difficult with one side of the screen in darkness lol.

Half Life 2 is definately faster for me.

No, read what i actually said. I said i wasn't sure whether it was these drivers or the BF2 update that was making the ground in BF2 go white.

I did catch that...Do you think it is directly related to the driver?

Well i don't know, since i didn't try BF2 after the BF2 update and before the driver update, i'm not sure. I think it is likely a driver problem since i keep getting a lot more crashes in BF2. What are the latest XG drivers, suitable for my 6200TC?

The 91.28 TweaksRUs Xtreme-G drivers are in the downloads section. Havn't tried them yet as I don't have windows installed on my main machine, but that should be changed soon.

http://files.aoaforums.com/I2504-XTr...28.v2.exe.html

If some of you blokes could try them out for me, and give your results / feelings (I do rate feel and experience far more than actual numbers), then I can make an informed frontpage and files post about them.

Ok, the 91.28 Nvidia drivers are the problem behind BF2, not the BF2 1.30 update. Not sure if the XG's will fix it though.

What the hell is it with me and new drivers! Downloading now!

91.28 (Nvidia) were (For 2 days!) quite solid for me. I don't bench mark so all I can really say is that they ran well for me and looked good in Doom 3 and Farcry as well as a spot of HL2

Ok tried the TRU drivers...much nice....

I lost a couple of frames in DOOM3 but looks much cleaner...

HL2 is sweet too

Feels smoother even though benchies show less performance

EDIT: btw got GPU clocks up to 425...could not get there before...

Its interesting that. Under a performance run last night, I gained 18Mhz.

Thats a total of 473Mhz on an NV40.

I'd like to know how they did that. Especially after 18 months.
