7300GT with GDDR3 (best buy budget card)

HeLLa!

I got it few days ago. Specs:
Galaxy 7300GT 256MB
-500MHz GPU (8 active pipe)
-1400MHz (1.2ns!!! Samsung GDDR3)

I have replaced the stock HSF with a NorthQ 3850A (VF700 clone). I use it from 5V...a bit more effective than the stock cooler and much more quieter (~12dB).
I was able to OC the GPU to 595MHz and the RAM to 1670MHz (with no heatsinks). Its not the end of the card...I think I can go further with the RAMs.
Overclocked 3DMark2005 (1.2) score =>> 5299
tested with:
3100+ Sempron E6 @ 250x9
2x512MB @ 500 / 2.5-3-3-6-1T

As I see at other forums the Inno3D cards with 1.4ns Samsung memos can OC better...and there is already a vmod guide for the Innos.

I almost forgot to mention the price...I got it for ~$96 (from dealer)...Yeah best buy

I have played a bit with the clocks again
GPU @ 600MHz
RAM @ 1740MHz

3DMark 2005 (1.2) =>> 5442

Still no vmod and no heatsinks on the RAMs but the NorthQ's fan gets 12V instead of 5V and a 92mm SanyoDenki blow air directly to the card.
Room temp is over 30°C

I think thats the end without vmod. Its about an Inno3D 7600GST's default performance...so not bad.

Sounds like a bargain, i've always wanted to play with SLI and two 7300GT's seem like a good little project

Quite rare yet but there are some GDDR3 versions with higher clocks. I have seen Palit, Inno3D and Galaxy cards. They use 1.2ns/1.4ns Samsung or 1.4ns Infineon chips.

Tell you what, that 5300 point 3DMark score isn't half bad at all. 6800NUs are around that stock, which really shows what these things are capable of. My heavily tweaked 6800GT is scoring about 6800 in 05, which is only 1500 points ahead. That is quite an impressive card for the money.

My 7900GT hits about 8000 on 3Dmark05 at stock. After OC'ing it I hope to get it at about 9000-10000. That's a great little card, though also bear in mind an SLi Motherboard will make up the $40 difference between 2 x 7300 and 1 x 7900.
