This is exactly why there are so many single women these days. What bloke would want sex and companionship when he had a 70" LCD HDTV.

One point - it's not the largest LCD TV. Samsung's 82" LCD TV is the largest. On the other hand, it is the largest HDTV LCD that's been announced. Won't hit the market until the first half of 2007 though.

Chances of someone having something bigger by then?

That is one big-ass TV right there. Who wouldn't want to play Halo on that beast? Makes my 50" TV look like a pile of crap. =(

Surely on such a big screen any image which isn't HD would look stretched and pixilated unless you used some form of algorithm to convert the Non-HD content into near HD content.

Well i think Viewing distance matter hear... It wouldnt be suited for a normal room or lounge... You'd need some pretty bring to fit in.. And stay well back to enjoy it...

At the correct distnace the Non-Hd will look normal.. And the HD would look just awesome!

Awesome LCD TV Though.. Pity dont have the money for it!

Might as well get a great DLP projector and screen. Would cost less and go even bigger....

Man that thing is huge...

Best and largest in PQ

The largest and best performing HDTV is Panasonic TH-103PF9UK. It's a 103" plasma panel and it is the beast.... I own a 50" previous gen from the Panny though.

http://catalog2.panasonic.com/webapp...el=TH-103PF9UK

the price tag is pretty high.

It's relatively cheap compared to big screen video projectors of old.

You could hire out a screen like that, for meetings, exhibitions etc, and get your money back in a few months.
