It means you can run Vista. Has nothing to do with DX10, or anything like it. Any reasonably modern GPU is "vista ready". Your mouse is "Vista ready". Your cat is "Vista ready".

Meaningless marketing crap.

Ya I know it had nothing to do with dx10......but then why say it.....Its like there is something else special about vista that other cards will not be able to run vista.......

I knew though my cat was vista ready already...............

Vista capable:

800Mhz CPU
512MB RAM
DX9 Compatable graphics (compatable, not compliant)
CD-Rom

Thats it. The Duron I threw in the trash last week is "Vista Ready" by those standards.

Vista "Premium" requirements:
1.5Ghz CPU
1GB RAM
Direct X 9.0 compliant (SM2.0) GPU
128MB VRAM
DVD Drive

You get bonus points for each DRMed up piece of hardware you own. Get 3 or more to win a cookie.

Yeah but you can be assured of a good cookie, until you finish it after which you get depressed because you can't have another.

And that cookie will be the size of your room, keep blocking your arteries, be really easy to eat, but only actually weigh 5grams.

It will cost you hundreds, and have more holes than swiss cheese
