Audigy 2 NX : CMSS settings dont stay

I have an audigy 2 nx, creatives usb audigy2 soundcard, and there seems to be some strange flaws in the drivers/software.

For one, when you go and setup the cmss settings, i prefer to have dual stereo mode output on the front and rear speakers. All is fine and dandy until you restart/shutdown/etc the computer, as the next time it comes up it reverts back to the standard CMSS surround sound setting. Thats okay, but it sounds like crap in the rear speakers. Now, im using this setup in the car so a dual stereo setup would be best. Though i would just run a splitter to my sound processor, i still would like to be able to have multi channel outputs from the sound card. you can also hit the cmss button on the unit itself and toggle it off and back on, then it will apply the stereo settings. Perhaps a registry fix that applies this setting in the background when starting the computer would be better suited to my problems? I would try doing it myself, but i dont really know how to script something like that.

Not sure if this is also related to the drivers, but for some reason sometimes when i start up the computer, the sound stays muted, though previously it was playing. One would have to hit the unmute button for things to start playing.

Creative does not seam to be putting much effort into the drivers for the Audigy 2 NX. I know this isn't good to hear, but I would imagine, if the current NX driver doesn't work correctly, then you may just be out of luck.

I've looked around a fair bit for you, among modified drivers nearly all of them say "Will not work with Audigy 2 NX / Extigy". It really is a completely different driver from the mainstream Audigy (x) series cards, and given that it has had very little sales compared to the PCI variants, I get the impression that Creative simply hasn't bothered fixing bugs that fall into the "annoying" category, and only makes the effort with "completely rooted" category bugs.

The only real suggestion I have is to make a very strong complaint to Creative about it, and their lack of support for the NX.
