Stupid question but ATi card in Nvidia SLI motherboard?

Hey
Yeah sounds pretty stupid but i was wondering whether an ATi card would work in a Nvidia SLI motherboard. Now i tried to google it but didnt relaly find any answers so i thought i should ask here. Btw i dont really care if 2 Ati cards work, just want to know if 1 will run properly.
Thanks

Yes one ATI card will run in an SLI motherboard, but crossfire won't work IIRC.

PCI-E is an official standard so any PCI-E compatable device will work on a PCI-E board. Like Favu said it's only proprietory systems like SLI and Crossfire that won't but an nvidia card will work in an ati board and vica versa just fine.

Drivers would be the only area that there could be an issue but this would be more a problem with beta drivers and new hardware.
