| RV610 and RV630 detailed. From the frontpage. RV610 and RV630 will compete with G83/G86 and G84 respectivly. RV610 will come in four flavours and will replace the X1300. It's an entry level DX10 part built on 65nM tech, however, ATi have chosen a very low 64bit memory bus for it. Another intresting bit of information is that some models will have native crossfire support. RV630 will be AMD's new midrange card, replaceing the X1600, probably a 80nM part itself. It comes in three versions, with the top end model featuring a full 512MB of GDDR4, however, the card runs into a bottleneck with only a 128bit memory bus. Which seems pretty limiting for a midrange part. There's been no news on core configuration of any of ATi's R6XX parts, they've remained pretty tightlipped about it for now. No word on pricing yet.

| Depends on what market you are comparing..pc desktop, mobile, integrated, and then you have consumer devices suc has cell phones, tv's, consoles, etc, when all told, ATI has a larger market share as thier portfolio is far more varied ATM. Pretty much every single HDTV has an ATI chip in it...as do the majority of newer cellphones. Desktop space nvidia has about 60% i think, but this metric is inaccurate, as most polls consider old products, and not just new ones. nVidia is bigger, and has far more money, so thier larger share of teh market directly relates to the amt of money they invest in marketing. ATI's marketing is pretty lo-key, like AMD's is, but irregardless they both seem to be still gaining momentum.

| Word of mouth, reliabilty, and performance will speak to the enthusiast more than how many greenbacks a company has.

| Yes. Enthusiast market share is about 13%, which, although worth billions, is spread between all of those companies out there. I don't know if there are even accurately measuring sales, or are counting Channel(distributor's) and retail together, even though they really amount to the same sale(Channel buys from OEM, consumer buys from channel's buyer).
