| All AMD R6xx chips are 65 nanometre chips, now The Inquirer By Theo Valich When yours truly learned of a new respin of the chip in early January, we learned that this respin was caused by one fact, and one fact only. The 80 nanometre chip was bleeding current like a slaughtered pig bleeds blood as said quadruped heads to the Munchner Halle to be served up as a sausage or two. Squealing. | Botheringly, its now a six month old chip, that still isn't on the market. Making a prius edition isn't going to change that. When's R700 due again?

| Interesting that they're doing this seeing as they're not even making flagship cpu's @ 65nM yet. I suppose ATI did look abit red faced with the heavily delayed R520 (X1800) not being out long before its replacement R580 (X1900) and R580+ (X1950) followed it. It seems the R600 is going to get the top name in its series and they have no intention of doing a refresh / speed bump. Lets hope for there sake people have waited and not brought an nvidia card in the meantime. Its a good thing Dx10 isnt even in enthusiast territory |

| 1GHz core speed? That should be quite a beast. Not an ATI fan, but it will be something to behold.

| Well, if given the speculation, I think it'll end up clock for clock faster than G80, the massive overhead on clockspeed might well be an attempt to use up more of the bandwidth it has, or just to increase it's lifespan. If this is true, then I think a 80nM refreash of G80 won't cut the mustard.

| I think it is. Must be running a B&S 5 HP to spin it.
