This says to NOT use for external Soundblaster Live! 24-bit (usb)

Can someone PLEASE provide a working, 5.1 modded version for external? My audigy 2nx external died out ($150 gone) and we all know creative sucks with their drivers.

As far as I can tell, NO ONE has a modded driver that supports 5.1.

I did find a suggestion regarding tricking Vista into installing the drivers we have here and getting them working (more or less, no report on 5.1 compatibility though). If you want to try it, here are the instructions:

"Use WinRAR and extract the package directly to your hdd, where ever you want it to (for example, right click and "extract here"). Then go to device manager and manually update the driver over the windows driver.. Works like a charm here, for games also... EAX seems to work, but haven't tested it yet for all games.

There is only one problem, CD-Audio in games doesn't really work (It's like muted whatever it's not), and i tried to Capture the Audio with Fraps, i haven't got that to work whatever it worked on previous Vista RC2 release.. :'("

I found that information here. If you find that information useful and it actually works, let me know and I'll update the description on the driver file.

lol a fellow soundblaster 24-bit live user mind you mine's internal PCI. i need to actually get around to installing some drivers, i'm still using just the onboard sound card. lol
