New video capture problem

Well, i poped my radeon VIVO into my tbird system so i don't have any dropped frames problems, but i am having problems with VHS composite imput. Capturing regular cable signal works great, but when i try to capture VHS video, it only records the first frame a just stutters and records that first frame. I don't change anything like connections or anything..i don't understand.
