| well i got one card... so i dont think ill really be limited... if i decide to ever go crossfire, god help the drivers actually progress somewhere bc crossfire is NOT showing the type of advancement id expect, i might have to buy a quad core and then obviously a dif power supply bc this thing would need 2 6's and 2 8's which obviously i do not have but you were saying with the amd tool i should be ok to oc with 2 6 pins definately?!?!?!

| xbx1. The xbx2 i have devoted to teh audio/video rendering station, running Vegas and Logic. It's got 4x1GB single-sided modules that do not work with the XBX1, which was intended for that station, so I had to swap the boards out, unfortunately. MyQ6600 does not scale very well on XBX1 tho, so I'm kinda left looking @ picking up a P5K Deluxe in the next few days. Then I'll ahve to try dealing with M$ for the board swap on the Vista machine... ![]()

| LoL...I wish. I had the money since christmas... Waterblocks...Maze4 does not fit. the corners of the gpu are not covered. This means vitrually every onther waterblock out there is going to have the same issue...only a couple of smaller blocks will fit. Been working at dual-card overclocking...if you read into it, everyone is not having any luck..BUT I AM... overclocking second card brings 3dMark06 from 15665: http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=1994728 to 15895: http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=2007645 Overclocking using CCC seems to loosen timings for the memorycontrolelr and other things quite a bit...scores fall pretty quickly. Working on dealing with that, but software is a big barrier @ this point.

| You know it is a virtual tie between single cards 2900XT campared to 8800GT 320 I look at the benches and it is pretty much a dead heat. So I have to give the nod to the 8800 just cuz it is $259 as opposed to $419 at Newegg. I would be pretty surprised if anyone was disgusted with either card. My card came with 97.xx drivers I am using the 158.19 drivers for Windows XP and I just could not be more thrilled with the clocking ,benching but most of all the game play and the stunning clarity in the picture. When you turn up all the goodies it is just lovely!! I am sure dave is extremely pleased with what he is seeing also. This is really a great thing cuz for now no matter which way your prefernce leans there is a card to satisfy!! Life is good!! I plan on another 8800GTS 320 in the near future so I can put it in my P5Ne-sli board and run both of my 8800's together. I have the air cooling worked out on it so I can now run my little 6400 at 3500mhz easily and can turn it up to 3750 for benching. I fold with it at 3400. So I won't have to drop my 6600 into it to get good scores I hope. If the prices keep falling it may just inherit my e6600. Dave keep up the good benching. Nice scores! WZ |

| idef do NOT think this card compares to the 320 at all.... the contender is the 640, and it passes that card as well in almost everything, not to mention we are practically using beta drivers with the 2900 where it took nvidia about 4 months to come out with GOOD drivers
