Hi guys

got my 8800's on the day they came out and now I am slowly getting into water cooling seriously. Has anyone got any pic's of their 8800's water cooled? The problem I had when I last tried it was that there was not enough space between the second card and the bottom of the case to fit a hose in even with an 90 degrees joint (was using Danger Den blocks). I have seen Zalman now do a block for the GTX and has the nosels coming up out of the top of the cards and not to the side so this might help some space as it would mean I could make a large "C" shape. Anyone got any pics of 8800GTX in SLI and water cooled? Oh and cases dont really get any bigger than the kandalf so please dont say "get a bigger case".

Cheers

What about the EK blocks? They do full coverage blocks that allow you to mount the water entry/exit points either up or down.

After having gone through all kinds of problems with full cover blocks I ended up with a swiftech MCW60 with the 8800 mount kit. It came with enough heatsinks to cover everything else on the card, but the thermal tape that was used was not strong enough to hold the sinks. I ended up using my normal blend of 15% Arctic Silver epoxy and 85% AS5. Creates a nice thermal adhesive with great heat transfer, bonds well and comes right off with a light twist.

Anyway.. final all day game stable OC with no volt mod results were 623 core 972 memory, up from 513 /792..

I've been put a tiny drop of super glue in two corners, left clean of A.S. for years, same same.

I have used the drops of SG for some time. I always think I am going to rip the chips off of the card when I have to remove the sinks. I like the mixture of AS epoxy and AS5. Might have to try that .

I guess Momma put the brakes on your online toy shopping. Fry's electronics has it in stock too..

It sure looks like everyone is happy with their 8800 cards in here.
I have a 7900 that I really like but i want badly to move to an 8800 320 as I run an sli board. A P5N-E sli and a e6400 I run it daily at 3650mhz
It is a fast little terror. It is nowhere near the top of anything but with the 8800 It would be plenty

Well if we convince Sam to go SLI maybe he buys that 7900 (he is addicted to 7900 ) and you can have your 8800 !

It sure is a great card. it has been circuit writer modded So I can run the GPU at about 710 mhz pretty good oc for a 500mhz gpu. The mem will run at around 950. it is a Evga and it has sure been a good one. I actually might keep it in the event I need a back up.

Woot! My wife gave me an EVGA SUperclocked 8800GTS 320MB for my birthday, I'm in the club!

Using the latest Beta drivers from the EVGA site 162 I think -for XP. I use nTune to set the fan at 75% all the time, seems to be working for now haven't had teh chance to O/C yet.
