Nvidia's G92 is little more than G80 in 65nm

THE TIME for GeForce 8800GT is drawing near. The card will launch at the end of October, just in time for all those lovely games of November.... Front Page

Makes me wonder if I would have been better off waiting a few more weeks for a new card.
Any word on pricing? So far the only thing I've heard about changing on the GTS is the extra shader units. If it's getting cheaper too, I'll be a little upset.

THis could be a nice card for those not willing to part with 300 bucks. 199.00 is a nice price point.

Why do we NEED a killer card yet?

There's still no DX10 games playable, nor anything that pushes the GTX enough to warrent new tech.

Given the new process, it's likely to be cheaper, unless yeilds are bad.
