1gb GDDR3 8600GT vs 2 x 256mb DDR3 7800GT's

Hey guys thinking of xmas prezies for the misses and cant decide on getter her wither an 8800GTX (as an only present) or getting her one of these Gainward nVidia Bliss 8600GT 1GB DDR3 - 1337pc.co.uk plus a new mp3 player (Zen) and a new mobile. How would the gainward 8600GT compair to 2 7800GTs that she currently has?

She normaly plays EQ2 and will be getting the Sims 3 next year (that will be DX10)

I'd go with the second option.
For Sims 3, she won't need an 8800GTX and more presents is always better.
She's lucky to be getting so much for Christmas!

Not quite sure an 8600GT would beat a single 7800 much less a pair.

I went from SLI 7900GT's to an 8800GTS 320 and dropped performance, but it was expected.

Thanks guys

I thought it would have been a bit quicker but never mind might go for the 8800GTS and Zen her phone will last her till her B day and she can always get another GTS when she upgrades to a quad core in the spring.

She'll be happy with your Christmas generosity, most people would!
