i couldn't get my 6600 to work. should i use the drivers they have in linux or some how some way download and get them to install.

nVidia may be better, but not that much in my book. I still can't get compiz to play nice.

Hopefully this should be changing. Dell, and a couple of others have stated that they will be giving preference to those companies with opensource drivers.

Nvidia's binary drivers are fairly ok. ATI are /getting there/ but they have ignored some older cards.
