| What is the best sound card? What is the best sound card that has something akin to an audigy drive on the front of the case? I can spend up to $125 I guess.

| Hercules Game Theater XP can be found for around $100. It doesn't have a front panel like the Audigy Platinum but it does have a seperate set top box.

| On top of your tower, on top of your desk, where ever. I have seen alot of people useing these because of Audigies and VIA chipsets not wanting to play nice together.. (also the price) I can't personally recomend it though. I have no personal experiance with one. You could always check out some reviews.

| Game Theater XP drivers are fine, so long as you don't use a 5.1 system or a setup with a dedicated sub input. Also, expect the Reverb to be weaker than on the Audigy. At the same time, music quality is slightly improved over the Audigy.

| I think they are grey. go to the creative website and look at the box, they will have a pic of it somewhere it will show the drive on it, advertising and all.

| No. you can get them with a BLACK face plate.... i just installed one on a friend box- looks sweet- the face was worth the $20 extra :-D Spyder

| Santa Cruz, Santa Cruz, Santa Cruz!!!!!!! Im gettin mine mainly cuz ive got a dolby dts and 6 channel direct Sherwood surround reciever. Technics mains, KLH surrounds, and a fatass JBL sub. Its gonna be so sweet!!!! Also for XP compatability.
