| Radeon 8500 Drivers for Linux Are Coming! Appearantly, the Weather Channel (WTH??) is paying for some company to develop a driver for the Radeon 8500. The driver will be added to XFree86 in 4th quarter of this year. Now isn't that interesting. http://www.tungstengraphics.com/projects.html

| You can already get a lot of functionality out of the Radeon8500 in Xfree86 4.2.0 using the Radeon VE driver, and all the 3D modules you can find to add. It does seem to work... the only thing I've been able to test it on so far is the visualisation for xmms :/ But  if full and proper support comes from this, whoever pays!
