| Hmm... I wouldn't pay that much for one. It's little more than the "effects" section from a cheap stereo coupled with a basic graphic EQ, then fed into something like QSound's QMSS to expand the signal into 4/5.1 channels. Even QSound quite happily say that their QMSS isn't as good as real 5.1 channel sound. (It's not QMSS, but SRS Lab's equivelent) Beware the specs as well. On NewQ's site, they claim a signal to noise ratio of 104dB (exceptionally good - if only sound cards were all this good), but a channel seperation of 47dB (exceptionally bad - on par with vinyl.) 7band Graphic EQ isn't anything to write home about, and is fairly cheap to implement. Personally? I'd avoid, even though it has an interesting looking VFD on the front. If you really want the VFD just don't hook the output up ![]() AidanII
